Louise is an award-winning writer and editor based in New York.

The author of Hvad Der Ikke Slår Dig Ihjel, a work of literary nonfiction about the Iraq war, Louise is a Pulitzer finalist and a recipient of the Ebbe Munck Prize, one of the finest honors in her native Denmark.

Her first novel, How to Organize the World, is forthcoming.

Born in Copenhagen, Louise came to fiction after a detour through the peaks and valleys of American journalism.

She covered crime, art, politics and war for almost a decade at the Los Angeles Times before becoming Foreign Editor at The Daily Beast, Newsweek and HuffPost.

She is the recipient of fellowships from the Jan Michalski Foundation, Bennington College, Georgetown University and JP/Politiken, among other recognitions.
